Georg Fischer Chooses Durable and Robust Printers To Maximise Productivity

TallyGenicom, a leading provider of focussed business printers, today announced that Georg Fischer, a leading manufacturer of plastic piping products, is now utilising 40 of its dot matrix printers to manage its business critical documents and maximise productivity. This new implementation is the latest in over 28 years of continued custom.

Georg Fischer is dedicated to designing, manufacturing and marketing piping systems for the safe and secure conveyance of liquids and gases. It employees over 100 staff at its UK head offices in Coventry. The company uses printers to manage heavy workloads and warehouse documentation, which are produced on a daily basis. When it came time to upgrade its existing printer fleet, Georg Fischer turned to the help of TallyGenicom. “We have used TallyGenicom printers since 1990 and they have proved extremely reliable, so I saw no reason for us to change” explains Georg Fischer Technical Support Analyst, Ray Hill. “Installation of the new printers was quick and easy, which makes my life easier!”

A key requirement of the new printers was for them to be compatible with Georg Fischer’s existing software to avoid the need to invest in expensive new operating systems. TallyGenicom’s dot matrix printers are designed to work with any legacy system including UNIX, SAP and DOS, ensuring utmost functionality and ease of set up, whilst avoiding expensive software overheads. Furthermore, printers are designed to provide continuous, unattended throughput and reliability in today’s demanding warehouse environments. Through providing reliable and robust printing solutions, TallyGenicom is able to meet the requirements of the most challenging user.

“We are pleased to work with an organisation like Georg Fischer. Our ability to maintain faithful customers for this length of time speaks volumes in terms of our commitment to customer service and satisfaction”, says TallyGenicom Senior VP and MD for EMEA, Robin Edwardes. “We hope to continue this successful working relationship long into the future.”
